About UsThe purpose of the International Association for Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels (IASH) is to promote research and experimentation on the scientific and operational factors that affect the stability and handling of fuels during their manufacture and blending, transportation, storage and use. We are an international, non-governmental, interdisciplinary, volunteer association. Membership is open to all individuals and organizations subscribing to its purposes.VisionTo be the foremost international organization devoted to all aspects of the stability, handling, and use of liquid fuels from refinery to end use and disposal, utilizing volunteers to maintain autonomy from single organizations or companies.MissionThe mission of the International Association for Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels is to promote research and experimentation on the scientific and operational factors affecting the stability and handling of liquid fuels during their manufacture, blending, transportation, storage and use by using volunteers drawn from a cross-section of government, academia and industry. This will be done through the publication of a biannual newsletter, sponsorship of a biennial international symposium and the publication of symposium proceedings. We will expand the body of knowledge of liquid fuels including crude oil and its refined products, fuels derived from oil shale, tar sands, coal natural gas and biomass; fuel additives and reformulated fuels such as those containing oxygenated components by publishing notes on in-progress research; discussing problems encountered in stability, handling, or use of liquid fuels; reporting on laboratory analysis; or commenting on related technical issues of general interest.
